We are proud to have coordinated the team of thought leaders who created the National Standards for Gift Planning Success, promulgated by the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners (CGP). The Standards propose that all successful gift planning programs share three common characteristics. They are:
We help our clients meet those goals.
All our services express our commitment to these principles.
• Gift planning is an integral part of the donor experience across all lines of fundraising. ALL donors and prospects should be offered timely, accurate gift planning information to ethically maximize their charitable impact and personal benefit.
• Planned gifts are not always deferred. In fact, since donors often choose to fund their largest gifts with assets rather than cash, many will be current or blended gifts. Increasing fundraising income depends on collaboration among all fundraising departments.
• The ultimate goal of our work with clients is a donor-centered organizational culture. A community of engaged supporters is the prerequisite to a pipeline filled with transformational gifts.
We retained the services of Joe Bull and his team to conduct a review and audit of our planned giving program. We wanted to know how we could best strengthen and grow this critical revenue source for the Lung Association. Joe certainly delivered results on this and more.
[Joe] has helped us raise millions of dollars in current and testamentary gifts...
Joe has provided excellent guidance for those donors who are interested in complex deferred gift vehicles [and] helped us to initiate conversations with prospective planned gift donors, many of whom are already close friends of the museum.
The etymology of the word philanthropy comes from the Greek philos (love) and anthropos (humanity). It literally means “love of humanity”. There is no dollar amount associated with that. Any gift that is given in the "love of humanity" spirit is a true act of philanthropy.
